Who We are

World Society of Engineering Thermochemistry (WSETC) is a world-class research organization for engineering thermochemistry  professionals.  WSETC has the breadth of resources and expertise you need whether you are in core engineering thermochemistry industries or emerging areas.

What is Engineering thermochemistry?

Engineering thermochemistry (ETC) is the science and technology concerning heat-induced/driven thermochemical reactions and their engineering. It studies heat-induced/heat-driven thermochemical phenomena and reaction behavior of substances in various atmospheres;innovates the thermochemical reaction process, reactor and system to transform the substances into value-added products safely, efciently and economically; and integrates and harmonizes the fundamentals and engineering aspects of thermochemical reactions, which used to be dealt with separately in various scientifc disciplines and industries.  Treating these reactions with a more systematic and disciplined approach, ETC can lead to scientifc breakthroughs and technological innovations toward carbon neutrality through the pathways of carbon reduction, carbon substitution, and carbon recycling.
